Self-Admitted Organized Retail Criminal Says He’s ‘Very Professional’ As He Steals For A Living
“Frank” says he’s not a shoplifter but rather has been into organized retail crime for 30 years. “I do this for a living, not just to run out and steal something when I need something,” he says. “Because of my experience, I’ve become highly skilled. I’m very, very professional about what I do, but I’m not proud of it.”
“Frank” is quick to note that he doesn’t steal from Mom and Pop operations, just corporations. “Over the past seven or eight years, in these stores, I have seen so little change to curtail retail theft,” he says.
“Frank” describes his job and what he does each day in the video above. And, hear Dr. Phil’s stern words for “Frank.”
On Thursday’s episode of Dr. Phil, "License to Steal: The Shoplifting Crisis," Dr. Phil devotes his platform to the shoplifting crisis that is sweeping the nation – an epidemic that, according to experts, is costing the retail industry over $45 billion a year. Hear from a store manager who stopped a thief and hear what law enforcement says are the biggest challenges. Check local listings to see where you can tune in.
